Becoming unimportant is a malady that is gaining increasing attention in the psychological and economic literature. Historically it has it received minor attention, although some social scientists and haberdasher leaders have noted that since the middle of the twentieth century there have been subtle signs of males paying decreasing attention to the matter of clothing appearance. While not a major finding, nevertheless it could be a predictor of a general decline in self esteem. Thus, there may be some value in collecting samples of relevant literature and observations.

More unimportant pieces will be added from time to time.
